free, easy-to-use, whiteboard-friendly, teaching and learning resource!
The Blue Cross would like to introduce all KS2 teachers to our free, easy-to-use, whiteboard-friendly, teaching and learning resource!
The Blue Cross is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of sick and unwanted pets and finding them loving new homes.
Pets and People is mapped directly to the KS2 Maths, English, and Science curriculum and appeals to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
You can go straight to it by clicking here: www.bluecross.org.uk/petsandpeople.
You can adapt it to fit into a pre-planned school day as part of a series of lessons, or as a quick lesson filler! You and your class can also organise your own fundraising tea party as a fun extension activity to reinforce the learning.
Pets and People aids the understanding of budgeting for a pet (Maths), keeping a pet healthy (Science), and loving a pet (English) and it also teaches children about responsibility - a key objective of Citizenship at KS2.
Please visit www.bluecross.org.uk/petsandpeople to start using our new resource in your classroom.
