History most horrid

  • History most horrid

The Birmingham Stage Company is offering children an exciting journey back in time with its Horrible Histories shows.

Tackling popular periods Ancient Egypt and the Roman Empire (the Awful Egyptians and Ruthless Romans, to give them their proper names), and adapted from Terry Deary’s best-selling books, both live shows features a cast of actors supported by ground-breaking 3D ‘Bogglevision’ special effects that will immerse children in events of the past like never before (watch out for the flaming arrows!).

In the former children will learn about no fewer than eight ‘evil emperors’, ‘gory gladiators’ and the Roman army’s battles against the ‘grotty Celts’, whilst in the latter history’s favourite pharoah, Tutankhamun, ‘mean mummies’ and ‘gruesome grave robbers’ all make an appearance. There’s lots more besides, but you’ll have to head along to discover exactly what.
