'Send My Sister to School' has launched for 2011.
Set up to highlight the barriers to education for girls and women in the global south, and organised by the Global Campaign for Education, the initiative comes with a call for young people to remind world governments of their commitment to provide education for all by 2015.
UK students are being asked to create a ‘sister figure’ that can be decorated with messages of support, and to send it to their local MP by June 30th. Find out more at sendmyfriend.org
